ONLINE STUDY ON THE TYPES OF SEXUAL AND GENDER BASED VIOLENCE MOST PREVALENT DURING THE COVID19 LOCKDOWN IN ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA

Following reports of increase in Sexual and Gender-Based (SGBV) cases during the period of Covid-19 lockdown in Nigeria between the months of March 2020 and July 2020, WINET carried out an online survey of one hundred and five persons (105) in August 2020 to determine the types of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) most prevalent in Enugu State, Nigeria.

The purpose of the study is to generate information on the types of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) acts and those most prevalent in the State, in order to enable Women Information Network (WINET) to utilize such information in media campaigns to prevent and end SGBV against women and girls, including persons with disabilities.
