Gender inequality is definitely a major factor in the economic deprivation of women in Nigeria. The lack of access to education, employment, and financial resources all contribute to the economic deprivation of women. Additionally, the cultural norms and societal expectations placed on women often prevent them from achieving economic empowerment. For example, many women in Nigeria are expected to marry and have children, which can make it difficult for them to pursue a career or start a business.
