Vivian Efem-Bassey is currently, the project coordinator (South) on the Women’s Voice and Leadership-Nigeria – Project with ActionAid Nigeria. She is a Development and Humanitarian Worker and Programme Management Professional with over 20 years of combined experience in both sectors. Though an Agriculturalist by profession, Vivian has worked on a wide range of Programme areas such as Leadership Development and Good Governance, Environmental Protection, HIV & AIDS, Sexual Gender Based Violence in Humanitarian Settings such as is in the North East, Child Protection and Women’s Rights. Working with government MDAs, Civil Society Organizations, Community Based Organizations as well as Security Agencies at both state and government levels across the country she has supported the setup of systems and structures that ensure the welfare and protection of women and children rights. She is a member of the Child Protection Network, the Nigerian Feminist Forum, and an alumnus of the Harvard Ex Ed PDIA course. She recently became a member of ActionAid International’s Sexual Harassment Exploitation and Abuse Investigators’ Network.
