About the Fund
ActionAid Nigeria (AAN), with funding from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) through the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Nigeria Project, is calling for Expressions of Interest for the Emergency Intervention Fund under its Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM).
Women and girls, particularly those from structurally excluded and marginalized groups, are often the hardest hit during emergencies, conflicts, natural disasters, displacement, and other crises. These situations increase their exposure to violence, exploitation, gender-based violence, loss of livelihoods, and exclusion from critical services and decision-making.
The RWVL Emergency Intervention Fund provides rapid, flexible funding to women-led organizations, women’s rights organizations, networks, movements, and community actors responding to urgent situations affecting women and girls.
