The Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Project
ActionAid Nigeria with funding from Global Affairs Canada, is implementing a five-year project – the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Project from 2025 – 2029. The project’s goal is to increase enjoyment of human rights by women and girls in all their diversity and the advancement of gender equality in Nigeria. The project is designed in response to issues in the challenging environment in which Women Rights Organizations (WROs) operate. The project will contribute to national, regional, and global priorities such as the implementation of the National Gender Policy, the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act, the Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5), the Maputo Protocol, and the Optional Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa.
